Food and Beverage Specialisation Package

- Duration -

12 - 15 months (5-10 hours per week). Each module is offered over a ten week period.

- Course fees -

R28,250 or R5,650 per module (inclusive of all textbooks and examination fees, excludes textbook delivery costs). Talk to us about a discount for full and upfront payment.

- Certification -

Graduates receive the IHS Short Course certificate for each module passed as well as an AHLEI award.

Online Food and Beverage Management Courses 300x165

Students achieving the specialisation package in Food and Beverage Management are competent to apply hospitality-specific frontline and management skills within the food and beverage department. Additional areas covered include supervision, food safety, planning and control for food and beverage operations and purchasing.

Rooms Division Specialisation Package

- Duration -

12 - 15 months (5-10 hours per week). Each module is offered over a ten week period.

- Course fees -

R24,800 or R5,650 per module (inclusive of all textbooks and examination fees, excludes textbook delivery costs). Talk to us about a discount for full and upfront payment.

- Certification -

Course Description

Students who have completed the Specialisation Package in Rooms Division Management are competent to apply hospitality-specific frontline and management skills within the rooms division. This programme introduces students to the hospitality industry and proceeds to cover the management of the front office, housekeeping operations, facilities management as well as general supervision.

Human Resources Management Specialisation Package

- Duration -

12 - 15 months (5-10 hours per week). Each module is offered over a ten week period.

Course Description

This course presents a systematic approach to human resources management in the hospitality industry. Students will analyse contemporary issues and practices in the field of human resources management. Areas covered include employee supervision, leadership and management, training and development of employees as well as managing technology in the hospitality industry.

Spa Management Courses

Spa Management Specialisation Package

Course Description

This programme introduces students to the world of spas, taking a comprehensive look at subjects ranging from the history and cultural development of spas to spa terminology and financial realities. Other areas include retail management and general supervision.

Course Description

This programme introduces a thorough look at club management, introducing students to general club management and governance, leadership, marketing, and human resources, and such operational areas as food and beverage operations, entertainment, financial management, club technology, and sports and recreation programs.
